The Art of Happiness
What is it like to be happy? What does it feel like?
I used to be an Oprah Winfrey fan, I loved it when she gave away stuff to the audience on her day time show. Watching Oprah’s reactions when the people discovered what they were being gifted was the best part for me.
She used to call it her ‘joy rising’ moments. A time when she felt extreme happiness in her heart. I like to use that expression too, joy rising!
Happiness is a state of mind. I believe this to be true because we have a choice to be happy or not. Regardless of what might be happening in your life, and we all go through really rough stages, at one time or another, we still have a choice to feel happy or to be the opposite – depressed and miserable.
There is always something to be thankful for, each and every day.
I get that somedays we might have to dig deep to find some kind of happy, of course, because after all we are only human, and we all have Ego’s.
Joy Rising is being able to allow yourself the privilege to actually ‘feel’ great pleasure. Not to mention how healthy it is for your physical body. Endorphins are released even when you smile.
Increasing happiness and decreasing stress.
A happy heart and a cheerful mind is a choice. Just simply change the way that your thinking. Turn your thoughts from negative to positive.
Allow the energy that surrounds you to elevate, it is a more cheerful way to live and, after all you deserve to feel ‘joy rising’ regardless of what is transpiring in your life right now.
