Should I Stay, Or Should I Go?

If we got paid a million dollars for every time we agonized over this question, how different would our life be.

The truth is that kind of money isn’t going to come to us out of thin air and furthermore, you can’t buy your way out of life’s challenges and tough decisions.

I suppose you could try, but I wouldn’t recommend it, as tempting as it might be if the opportunity knocked. Life’s hardships and I don’t say that lightly because any tough decision or challenge that we need to face in our lives, is usually considered unpleasant and agonizing to us to some degree or another.

How can we be better equipped to make those resolves that we need to face from time to time? The last thing you want to do is make any life-changing revise based on what your Ego has to say about the situation.

More often than not your Ego will talk you out of making a change to anything and everything.

Your Ego mind has one agenda when it detects a change, to drive you to the brink of insanity with it’s loud and obnoxious voice, the one you hear inside of your head and the one that never shuts up.

Your Ego knows everything about anything and it makes no bones about letting you know with its consistent nagging drama story’s.

Even when you find yourself begging it to stop, it won’t, it can be a real bastard at times.

It is not your friend when you really need it to be, so don’t waste your time trying to reason with it, it is not good at bartering either.

The best way to shut down the Ego is to get outside, be careful though because as soon as you start to put your coat on, it will tell you all the reasons why you shouldn’t go outdoors.

The Ego knows what you are up to and it considers the great outdoors as the big muzzle, it will really have your scrambling to stay focused.

Being outside, or even just changing up the scenery to any degree can be like a breath of fresh air because it allows you to see more than what your mind wants you to see.

If you can’t get outdoors then put on some of your favourite music.

The only way for us to hear the voice of our Soul is to tone down our minds, do whatever it takes in whatever way works for you.

If you can connect to that deep internal feeling that is overcoming when you speak to it, you will get the answer you need to your query, and it will be the answer you can always trust.

Your Ego is the Drama Queen (or King), it is a lousy confidant and not a trusted source, your Soul, on the other hand, is by far your dearest and most valuable friend, why wouldn’t you want to trust what it has to say to you? If you would only listen…………..
